DevOpsMtl, May edition

This month we are back at CloudOps, at 420 Rue Guy. This is happening on Monday May 5th. Our sponsors this month are LightSpeed Retail (food & beverages) and  CloudOps (space). Merci aux deux compagnies!

This month will be more relaxed. We will have a lot of smaller presentations and lightning talks. If you’d like to show us something, you’re more than welcome to do a lightning talk as well!

Présentations

OpenTSDB introduction
Description: A scalable, distributed Time Series Database. http://opentsdb.net

git advanced features
Description: Git is great at managing complex branching workflows. But it’s easy to get lost. Today I’ll show you how to recover lost commits and figure out what feature branches haven’t been merged yet. As an unrelated bonus, I’ll show you how you can let git find the introduction of a bug automatically for you.

Lightning talk: you?

If you’ve discovered something cool recently, and would like to share it with everyone, feel free to come do an impromptu 1m or 5m lightning talk. You can come as unprepared as you want. It’ll be fun!

If you’re looking for that special person to join your team, you’re welcome to come in front of everyone and pitch us about your awesome opportunities! We’re an equal opportunity group: you have 5 minutes too ;-)
